Cricket - 1940s - a collection of 1940s cricket autographs on two menus from the Kings Arms Hotel, Melksham, for 'Tom Goddard's XI versus Alan Matthews' County XI'. Both menus signed by members of each team, which includes Goddard, Matthews, Tom Graveney, Alan Young, and others. Along with a further signed folded card by Goddard and two others, and a signed slip of paper by British figure skater Cecilia Colledge. (4)

Sporting interest . 1939-82 Wisden Cricketers' Almanack . Circa 43 volumes of the Wisden Cricket Almanac , dating from 1939 until 1982. Set is a near-complete run of this period, lacking the 1941 volume. Published annually since the late 19th century, the Wisden Cricketers' Almanack is still widely recognised as the chief reference book for cricketing statistics and information. Bound in the publisher's original cloth, with volumes from 1965-82 paired with the iconic bright yellow dust wrapper. (c43) Approx. 6.5" by 4" Bound in the publisher's cloth. Externally, generally very good. Earlier volumes are slightly worn, with discoloration and lifting to cloth. Internally, generally bright and clean. Dust wrappers are bright, with sunning to the backstrips, light edge wear and a few marks.

Craig Thomas Collection (1942-2011 Welsh author) - a collection of x3 c1950s autograph books, all as obtained by Thomas during the period. Largely filled with sporting signatures, the majority being related to Rugby. Many unidentified. Comprising: 1) Green album - appears largely Rugby; Bryn Meredith, Gareth Griffiths, Arthur R. Smith, Russell Robins, Robin Thompson, Jeff Butterfield, the full British Lions team 1955, the Sables 1956/57, and others unidentified. 75% filled. 2) Blue album - mostly Rugby; Barbarians Touring XV 1955, Harlequins XV Vs Cardiff, Penarth RFC, Old Relvedere, Newport, Barbarians 1956, and at the end of the album two pages of autographs from an American US Baseball League match between Fairford Rebels Vs West Drayton Wildcats. Approx 50% full. 3) Black album - Cricket and Rugby - Fred Trueman, 'Welsh Rugby Writer's Party To Dublin 1952', Glamorgan, Somerset, All Blacks, Watsonians XV, Richard Burton (actor), Warwickshire, 1953-54 New Zealand Rugby Team, Pakistan Touring Team (probably '53), Ken Jones, and others. 90% filled.
